Water Row Company Welcomes 800 New Residential and Commercial Property Customers

Govan Housing Group’s newest subsidiary, the Water Row Company, is delighted to welcome over 800 new customers as responsibilities for factoring and property management services transition to our newly established social enterprise from Govan Housing Association.

In addition, the Water Row Company will now oversee the management and delivery of all commercial and non-core services within the group, including the management of 92 Mid-Market rental properties, leasing of commercial and residential properties, and provision of money advice services.

Our highly skilled team responsible for factoring services has seamlessly transitioned to the Water Row Company, ensuring continuity of the high-quality, responsive service our customers have come to expect.

These 800 new customers represent the cornerstone of the Water Row Company’s expansion strategy as we embark on creating a new property management service for homeowners. Partnering with Govan Housing Group’s successful subsidiary, the Govan HOME Team, renowned for its wide range of planned and reactive repairs, we aim to deliver an unmatched level of service to our factored tenants throughout Glasgow.

Jamie Mallan, Director of Community Enterprises, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It has already been an exciting 2024 as we welcome families into their new homes at the historic Water Row site. Making an impact

Investing in the redevelopment of Govan

We have been actively working towards developing our plans to meet the “Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing 2020” requirements.

With the implementation of the Home Team, we began our comprehensive kitchen and bathroom replacement programme, and also worked on the window replacement programme. We have carried out comprehensive repairs to our listed tenement at 883 Govan Road.

We have also been working with Central Govan Action Plan to draw up a masterplan for Govan’s prime riverside site at Water Row.
